Synopsis

Hi, I'm Elsie and I'm a recovering drug addict. This isn't a meeting? It's a podcast? Um, I've never done one so, uh, hi, this is my podcast about addiction. Not just drug addiction. Pornography addiction too. Why? Great question. My hubby is a recovering pornography/sex & love addict. So I'll talk about healing from the trauma that porn addiction can cause too. I don't have a Ph.D. What I share are my personal experiences and optimism. While this journey can be tough, I feel we all have the power to heal and recover. I talk with humor but take this seriously and I'm grateful you're here.

  • What Is The Good?

    05/06/2020 Duration: 12min

What Is The Good? If you’ve been around a while, you know that this is one of my favorite sayings. We’ve all had some trying times the last few months and sometimes, at least for me, it can help instead of asking myself, “What good is it?” I ask, “What is the good?” This is especially important for me in my recovery. I need to make sure I reframe and see the good in things and have gratitude to avoid going down negative paths of thinking. You can also visit me at my website. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/elsie-amata/message

Although I'm not a runner (I'm barely a walker), I can relate to this sentiment. I share how in today's podcast. You can also visit me on my blog. Have a question? Let me know! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/elsie-amata/message
