There’s old things, old ways of life, old habits that we can’t take into the future with us because God is wanting to do something new! We shouldn’t be looking at the past but looking to what’s ahead. The best is yet to come.

Often new levels of destiny are cloaked in insignificance. For David there was a waiting period from when he was called to when he arrived to his destiny. Delivering sandwiches brought David to his destiny. What are the "sandwiches" that we could be delivering in our lives?  

For new grapes to grow on a vine, the vine needs to be cut back and pruned because new grapes can only grow on new wood. The same can be seen in our lives, we need to be cut back and pruned for God to do something new and for us to bear new fruit. Although sometimes it feels painful, it grows back better.

Let’s set ourselves up for a year of freedom in 2019 by ensuring that we are aware of the little things that can accumulate and clutter our heart.

There are moments in our life where God is looking for us to take steps towards him and put ourselves in a position for God to act and bring a breakthrough. As we prepare for 2019 we need to also make time and space for the quiet moments where God wants to meet with us and bless where we are, even if we aren't looking for it.
