    Tariq talks with Noor Aden (in-studio), who fled the violence of civil war in Somalia as a teen in the early 90's. He arrived at a refugee camp in Kenya, where he would meet his future wife. The two would have 10 children together. In 2008, through the refugee resettlement program Aden came to the U.S.(Chicago,IL,) but due to the high financial demands of resettlement, was unable to bring his family with him. Since then, he has worked as a taxi driver, continuing to send money back to his family, who all still live in the refugee camp--which may be closing soon. Joining us on the phone is Greg Finch, a software engineer from Ohio, who struck up a friendship with Noor as a passenger in his taxi in 2017, as they talked about family and he learned about Noor's story. In an effort to help Noor bring his 4 oldest children to the United States, who have already gone through an arduous screening and verification process, he started a GoFundMe page to assist with the immigration cost.
