Ernest Holmes chose to call God "The Thing Itself," thus avoiding any anthropomorphic concept of God. This "Thing" is the only thing - the one Substance everything is made of, and the Cause of everything. It is pure Spirit, invisible, without form, yet more real than anything we see. Thomas Troward said, "We cannot account for the things we can see unless we assume the existence of other things we cannot see." And the thing is, we're part of this Wholeness - how awesome!

Viewing the Universe as the context of Harmony and Divine Right Activity, we are able to perceive all the contents in the world aligning with the underlying Truth and see them as stepping stones, rather than stumbling blocks.

As Meister Eckhart asked of us, "Let God be God in you," eliminating the need to believe anyone could possibly live outside Spirit's Life. Just as the Law of Mind is, "an equal opportunity employee," so the Presence of the Divine equally perceives each individualized expression of Itself as beautiful, whole, and essential to all life . . . no exceptions.

Having been created in the image and likeness of the Divine, and filled with a glorious Power for Good, we choose to live largely, love generously, and celebrate the infinite possibilities that await us all. Lives are enhanced as we abide in the zone of our "divine genius."

It is as we focus on the Divine within the form that we realign with First Cause and recognize Spirit's attributes within everything and everyone we encounter. Relative appearances change, while the Absolute always remains true to Itself.
