  • EP5: Dwayne Spiteri

    26/07/2019 Duration: 01h35min

I'm back again! It's been a long break but I'm back and ready to kick out a few more interviews. Dwayne Spiteri today! Really fun guy and got some good thoughts on the sense of community in academia. I think this one is a really appropriate talk to spring back on after my little mental confession last time. Give it a listen and take some of it onboard. It just might change how you think!

  • Psyche Rant 1

    11/06/2019 Duration: 25min

Hey Listener, not an episode today but something important that needs to be talked about and something I hope guests can discuss openly in the future. Mental health in academia is simply ignored and is not tackled in an effective way. Everyone is scared to talk and everyone is a little ashamed. However, I am not staying in academia so I don't care what people think. This shorter session is a longer monologue of me describing what I think has affected my mental health the most and problems in academia that most seriously affect my mood. The atmosphere is a little sombre on this one because it wasn't the best of days. I did need to think a little about how best to express myself. I hope this lets you know that you're not alone and that there are plenty of people having a hard time, not just you.
