The last episode I did with Bradinn was for Amazing Spider-Man 2. The movies I've covered that are discussed in this episode are Crash, Dawn of the Dead, Zack Snyder's Justice League, and Man of Steel. You can listen to any of those right now! Go for it!

  • Episode 19 - (Snyder Cut with Jon Schneider) - Part 1 "Ok, first of all..."

    02/08/2021 Duration: 34min

We recorded this episode the weekend after The Snyder Cut came out. I hesitated to even release the episode because the toxic side of the fan base were so honed in on taking down anyone who said anything negative about the movie. Plus it's a little more negative than most of my content so I wasn't sure. After a few months, I finally sat down with the material and realized I might as well share it with y'all. There's a lot of fun throughout and Jon's ALWAYS a delight as a guest. I broke it up into 6 parts and epilogue not JUST to be hilariously like the movie we talk about but also to give everyone a chance to take breaks and come back to it later without feeling like you're gonna forget a bunch of stuff. It's all non-sense and random thoughts, but I still do little previously ons in case that's your jam.Anyway, please enjoy this episode that no one asked for as we push on to the next!

  • Episode 18 - The Witches (with Jon Schneider)

    29/10/2020 Duration: 01h08min

The remake of The Witches is currently available on HBO. The original The Witches is available on Netflix (as of this posting). Here's an article about Raold Dahl to get you started on your journey down the rabbit hole of his horrid views. And here's another. And another. It's honestly not hard to find, and there's plenty more. And obviously, hit me on twitter @trevorcarlee if you'd like to point out anything I've gotten wrong :)

  • Episode 17 - About Time (with Nik Manning)

    03/08/2020 Duration: 01h04min

I originally didn't watch About Time in the theater because, like many people, I thought it was a cringe-y story about a guy using time travel to manipulate a girl into loving him. I felt that way, because they promoted it that way. FOR SHAME!But then I was fortunate enough to stumble upon it later in the comfort of my own home, where I ugly cried for about an hour straight. This film is so unbelievably gorgeous and I had to bring on my "fellow crybaby," Nik Manning from the podcast Black Girls Do Stuff Too, to talk about it.We both feel like the movie does not get the recognition it definitely deserves. We also have been wanting to talk about the taboo topic of "crying during movies" so this was a 2 for 1 deal.Buckle up!If you don't listen to Black Girls Do Stuff Too, there's no time like the present. Go subscribe!

  • Episode 16 - Jersey Girl (with John Longino)

    29/06/2020 Duration: 42min

I've honestly wanted to not only talk about Jersey Girl with someone for some time now, but I've also just wanted to rewatch it. As schedules get crazy, it gets harder and harder to rewatch old things (except Buffy...I always have time for Buffy). After a weekly game night (back before COVID), Jersey Girl just came up in conversation and John Longino mentioned remembering hating it when it came out but thought maybe he might like it now that he's a father.Check out the podcast to find out what he thought. And please rate, review and subscribe! www.trevorloveseverything.com

Rise of Skywalker has really done a number on the Star Wars fanbase and we're here to tackle that beast. Jon is back for another installment of Trevor Loves Star Wars ... • B-Side: Taxi Driver

    09/03/2020 Duration: 53min

Among many films on the docket that have escaped my gaze, Taxi Driver has been among the most offensive for some. Most look on in shock and disgust when I mention never having seen it.John Nelson was one such fellow some ten years ago. He set himself on a mission to ensure that I see this "classic." It's taken ten years and two podcasts, but we're finally here. All I knew of Taxi Driver is the infamous "You talkin' ta me" scene. The rest was a big ol' mystery. So, sit back, relax, tense up and get ready to be very uncomfortable as we discuss Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver.

  • Episode 14 - The Last Jedi (with Jon Schneider)

    10/02/2020 Duration: 01h27min

Jon and I can spend hours on end talking about the ins and outs of Star Wars, and always matching each other's passion. So he was an obvious choice to bring in and talk about The Last Jedi. The film has split the fandom of Star Wars right down the middle and I've wanted to talk about it for years. I know my format usually calls for my guest to hate the movie in discussion, but I wanted to try something different. It won't always be like this and I'll still maintain the same format for the most part, but I might change it up here and there.Let me know your thoughts on how you feel about this episode on twitter (@trevorcarlee) or e-mail (trevorcarlee@gmail.com).Enjoy!

  • B-Side: Life is Beautiful

    06/01/2020 Duration: 35min

The moment Daysha found out I had never seen or heard of Life is Beautiful, she made it her mission to make sure I did. She lent me the DVD and I returned the favor by ... not watching it and giving it back (I'm terrible).Well, after we did our episode on Domino (which, if you haven't listened already, go check it out!), I told Daysha we could do a B-Side for Life is Beautiful and she was very down for it.So here we are. It's the holiday season ... well nearing the end of it anyway ... and we're going to sit back and watch a holocaust movie. I guess I don't even need to to explain the movie because it appears I'm the only one who hasn't seen this three time Academy Award winning classic. Who knew! Daysha. That's how.Enjoy!

  • Episode 13 - Lion King 2019 (with Wil Brooks)

    09/12/2019 Duration: 01h17min

A new horizon in CG filmmaking or a travesty to our precious nostalgia? Or ... neither?Welcome Wil Brooks to the podcast! Wil is yet another guest I've had a problem finding a movie to invite him on for because he generally likes a lot of things.Enter...Lion King. Obviously I dug it, but Wil has some really interesting reasons why he disliked this film AND some really great ideas for how it could have been better. We also go on many a tangent and basically cover every Disney remake ever. It's packed tight!Sit back, relax and enjoy this month's episode of Planet Earth- er...I mean, Trevor Loves Everything. You can check Wil out at www.soimwatching.com and you can buy his book here.

  • Episode 12 - Ghostbusters 2016 (with Damien Belliveau)

    04/11/2019 Duration: 01h15min

Welcome Damien Belliveau to the fold! Damien and I love geeking out about movies and television. While I tend to love everything and have broad general ideas and emotions toward them, Damien goes in with a scalpel to everything he watches and finds out what makes it tick.Usually, Damien and I are on the same page with liking the films most people hate, but I knew I could count on him for this episode. I saw him the day after he watched it in the theater and ... well, he had words about his experience. When I sent him a list of potential movies for Trevor Loves Everything, he couldn't believe people didn't like the movies on the list. But Ghostbusters 2016!? Oh he was down for that. You can catch Damien on twitter and instagram at @damienbelliveau. He also runs a photography project called The Part Black Project on instagram as @thepartblackproject and on his website www.damienbelliveau.com.Additionally, the article I mention in this episode can be found here: https://medium.com/@deer.erin/why-should-i-go-see-it

  • B-Side: Dawn of the Dead

    14/10/2019 Duration: 19min

When Jon Schneider and I were "battling it out" over Man of Steel, he mentioned having high hopes for Zack Snyder after seeing his take on Dawn of the Dead. I had never seen the film, which blew Jon's mind. Now he has a chance to geek out with me over a film I'll most likely enjoy. Check out the episode and hear our quick recap on this home run of a film! And as always, please find it in your heart to rate and review the podcast. It helps it get seen by more people :)

  • Episode 11 - Battle: Los Angeles (with Jon Schneider)

    30/09/2019 Duration: 01h16min

Welcome back to another action packed episode of Trevor Loves Everything! As Daysha pointed out last month, I tend to have a lot of people named John on my podcast ... and today is no exception!Today, we talk about Battle: Los Angeles, a 2011 Sci-Fi Action film about aliens invading the planet and the Marines that aimed to put a stop to it. Jon and I actually watched this in the theater on opening weekend and man oh man did we walk away with different opinions. Both of us are veterans but one of us was celebratory and amped while the other was ... massively disappointed. I'll let you guess who's who.Get nice and comfy and enjoy the ride as we talk about this wonderful film and also dive a little deeper into what it's like to be a veteran. And as always, please rate and review - it really helps get these episodes out to even more ears :)

  • Episode 10 - Domino (with Daysha Broadway)

    03/09/2019 Duration: 01h30min

A huge fan of Tony Scott, I've found myself defending his work more often than not. I really like the depth in his story telling with films like Man on Fire, but I also really enjoy his overall, hyper-styilzed visuals. My guest this month is the always-entertaining, Daysha Broadway. We spent many months trying to figure out a movie that she joins the mass public in hating so we could do an episode together. She's like me in that she enjoys most things. I happened to throw Domino out there and she was all over it! "I am about to go IN on this movie. It's actually not good at all." Sit back and enjoy as Daysha and I perform an autopsy on this film and find out what killed it in the public's eye. MY GUEST Daysha is one of the editors for the very funny show A Black Lady Sketch Show on HBO
