What's Hapnyn San Diego

The Tighten Ups is a 7-piece soul, funk, blues, rock band fronted by singer (and podcast host) Laura Jane Willcock. Together for more than a decade, they set themselves apart by lacing their rock and roll with syncopated bursts of high voltage brass and soulful doses of rhythm and blues. Nominated in 2009 for a San Diego Music Award as Best Cover/Tribute Band, they are known as Southern California's favorite "Rock and Soul" party band. In this episode, LJ turns the tables by inviting her bandmates Gerry Wasson and Meri Claire into the studio to discuss the their new live album, the song writing process, how the band formed, and a few other surprises along the way.
