The main political parties are offering strikingly different visions for the future of the country, including radically different economic policy agendas. Whichever party forms the next government, it is likely to take a different approach to economic policy from previous administrations. Does the Treasury need to rethink how it approaches economic policy? And does it have the ability and inclination to do so?
