"Everybody worships" atheist David Foster Wallace says. The question is, "What do you worship?" The word worship originally meant "worth-ship." So, what has ultimate worth and value in your life? What do you think about, live for, talk about all the time? The claim of Revelation 5 (and Wallace!) is that if you worship anything other than Jesus, it will eat you alive. Because no other King is worthy to be worshiped than Jesus. He is a Lion who reigns but a Lamb who renounced his rights, who sacrificed himself to save us, conquered sin through his death, and only he can fix this broken world.
