Award winning photojournalist, conflict photographer, and filmmaker Erin Trieb stops by the studio to talk about how she went from a girl growing up in Dallas Texas with a strong faith, a determination to live life on her own terms, and an early love of photography, to being inspired by the idea of conflict photography and chasing that passion to the middle east, embedding with infantry troops in Afghanistan, and covering one of the biggest conflict stories of the time.  During our conversation Erin talks about what drew her to the idea of conflict photography at an early age, how she began to gravitate towards stories about women and started to realize some of the behaviors she had ignored in the male dominated world of photojournalism, what it's like to be embedded with troops and even more so to see their return home and witness the effects of war, her newest film project about female Afghan climbers, the way she stays grounded and mindful while currently living on the road, and the advice she gives to oth
