In the first half of the episode we talk with Dr. Rukhsana Chaudry of American Muslim Healthcare Professionals (AMPH) about their upcoming Interaith Anti-bullying summit being held in Washington D.C. December 2nd. This is a first of its kind initiative, and Dr. Rukhsana shares some of the statistics regarding bullying in general and within the Muslim community, in particular and their broader implications. In the second half we reflect on hunger in the United States in the wake of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. We then speak with Sofia Shakir of the Sabeel Food Pantry about their annual Turkey giveaway, which is in its 17th year. We close out the show with a quick reflection on the people of Puerto Rico whose body count continues rise, well beyond the state reported numbers; according to funeral homes the death toll stands at 499 people.
