Did you know that Nafe is the largest global network for women?  It also recently celebrated its 42nd year of serving women across the globe.  Their headquarters are in New York, but they have networks across the country run by dynamic women like Joan who step to the plate to touch lives. Lets learn a little bit about this dynamic woman. Joan Wakeland-Taylor was born in 1941 in Jamaica West Indies.  She graduated in 1964 as a Pharmacist from the University of Technology in Jamaica West Indies and owned and operated 3 Pharmacies in Jamaica. Things were scary in 1977 and she feared for her son’s life as well as her own so she migrated to New Jersey with only $50.00 for her and $50.00 for her son as that is all that was allowed to take out of the country.  They stayed in New Jersey for 6 weeks and then came to California She could not get a job as a Pharmacist in the US so she became a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and worked for several companies,  She raised her two sons on her own by working hard w
