Cats Win With The Heart Of A Lyon Over Toronto

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to discuss the Panthers' 3-2 OT win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, which was their first win at Scotiabank Arena since 2/3/20. The Panthers struggled with their breakouts and generating speed through the neutral zone through the first 30 minutes(did not generate their first shot of the 2nd until 10 minutes in, had 7 total through 30). The Panthers led 1-0 after the first minute, but it was nowhere near a comfortable lead. Panthers had G Alex Lyon between the pipes as Sergei Bobrovsky was scratched due to a Non-COVID Related Illness(Panthers called up Mack Guzda to back up Lyon). The Leafs were off and running living in the slot, getting in the passing lanes and making life on Alex Lyon difficult. Panthers went to the box 4 times, but were able to go perfect on the PK not getting out of position to give Toronto easy opportunities on Lyon.
