 Right now there's a certain malaise in the midwinter air and atmosphere.  The usual coldness of the winter season combined with a lot of negative news and numbers of lead people to wonder just about what's going to be in 24. That lead one respected journalist in his industry to begin his column for the day with the news, "There's pain in the forecast,"  He is usually an optimistic thinker and always has a bright and good way to look at things but he did suggest that the immediate future does look a bit painful,  indeed there is pain in the forecast. Because I have some of those same feelings I paid attention to what he said and then here is my attempt to frame a bit of a response that has also come to me that just might be helpful to you as we look at the time ahead of us and perhaps how we can think hope and pray that we can be better than the times that are before us.
