(19 OCTOBER 2023)2023년 CRW ‘섬김과 친밀함이 넘치는 예배  Humble and Intimate Worship’This Thursday, I am preaching from the Apostle Paul's letter to the church in Philippi. In his letter, especially towards the last chapter, Chapter 4, he urged and encouraged Christians to stand firmly on Jesus Christ.I believe that the unceasing persecution, threats, imprisonment, and death among Christians were rapidly increasing. Even Paul, who was himself in prison when he sent this letter to his fellow Christians, wrote to them, encouraging them to anchor their lives and faith in Jesus Christ alone, even if it meant death for many of them. Indeed, many early church Christians endured these series of trials and persecutions. The Bible reading mentions a few names of those who persevered for Jesus by praying, loving, and caring for each other.We, Cross River Worshippers, are also called to stand firm on Jesus, love one another, and spread the good news about Jesus Christ in our neighbourhood.
