The words of the song says, "The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows, The more that I love Him, more love He bestows; Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows, The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows." For some though, instead of deepening their relationship with Christ, a coolness grows. Church attendance becomes routine. Halleujah drones out and becomes nothing more than words of a song. Bible reading is perfunctory. Prayer time is a check off the list of things done. Church work is simply that ... church work. The scandals that erupt in church are often juicy and depressing -- Pastor so and so did this, the choir director did that. But what about the scandals in us? It's not that you're living a life rifled with sinful living, it's just ... you're going through the motions. You're experiencing with a coldness, a dryness, which leads to apathy. Is it because we're focused on doing this thing FOR the Lord? Are we merely performing? If that's the case, then how can we free ourselves from
