This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series that will take the final week of Jesus' life, called Holy Week, and spread out the events of it over the next 7 Sundays leading up to Easter. We will be looking at different people that interacted with Jesus in His final days on earth, seeing what we can learn from their interactions for ourselves, and what we can learn about God through Jesus actions. This Sunday we launch with the false expectations on Jesus from the crowd in Matthew 21.

Many claim to hear God's voice speak to them. How do we discern if He is speaking to us?

The closest followers of Jesus asked him how to pray, and He gave some safeguards of what not to do, and what to do in the midst of communicating with God.

Essential part of any good relationship is communication. But what about when the communication gets confusing, or it is difficult to hear the other person? This month we begin a new series on the why and how of prayer.

How many problems do you got right now? What keeps you grounded? What do you build your life around to stay focused, encouraged, and motivated?

There are many rules or reasons we can create to decide how spiritual someone is. This was thinking that was happening 2500 years ago when Haggai the prophet spoke up. There is something more valuable than rules for our spiritual journey with God.

Even in the most unexpected events or circumstances God can reveal Himself in powerful ways. He did just that as the 2nd temple was being rebuilt and it didn't measure up to the 1st temple. He promised an amazing promise to make it's glory even better. 

It's easy to get frozen in the unknowns in our world today. Making plans and dreams and goals is extra challenging. But that doesn't mean God is not active. We begin a series at looking what God may long to do next in you and the life of Hammond Bay Church. 

The term love is so commonly used in our society. Biblical love is different, but when we practice biblical love we find our lives are filled with more hope, peace, and joy.

Joy is hard to define but easy to identify. In the midst of the Christmas story there are many unexpected turns that could easily cause fear and stress, but joy keeps rising up and proclaiming itself.

Hope is a fragile thing that we are often waiting for and longing for. How do we find hope in the midst of the waiting? We take comfort and hope in the fact that Christ waits for you and I, always longing for us to turn and connect with Him. 

Even google maps can lead you down the wrong direction at times. When it comes to making life decisions about which direction to go, where do we find long-term wisdom to guide us? 

This morning we will be hearing from two people from our church family about how God has impacted their lives!

The book of Proverbs offers many angles of wisdom in regards to wealth, and the Scriptures continually call us to recognize that wisdom is of greater value than wealth.

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,    but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.Proverbs 10:11 NIV 

To get a good job you may have to prove how qualified and capable you are. But when anyone becomes a follower of Jesus, the wisdom of God is made available to them. God's wisdom is a gift to all who seek Him.

Each and every day you make hundreds of decisions. How do we aim to make better decisions and fewer regrets? How do we live with wisdom?
