Synopsis

Much like my youtube channel "Films For Thought," this series is simply a discussion channel where my main focus lies on film, with the occasional book, comic, tv show review, or even voice impression (I really love doing those). This endeavor comes from my genuine love for cinematic art and how it has always been a part of me I'm always welcome to share with fellow artists, newcomers, or the genuinely curious minded who want to know more about what inspires my passion for this great artwork I feel moves and forms much of how various means of culture structure themselves. • 50/50: A Comedic Tale Of Stoic Endurance

    04/07/2019 Duration: 14min

Hello Everyone, Before this upcoming fourth of July, I wanted to dish out my latest episode, which focuses on the highly underrated dramedy, 50/50. On the surface, it can easily bee seen as that of a simple comedy-drama about a man battling cancer. However, in having a closer look at the film, has made me appreciate it as a great lesson of stoic endurance in accepting what we can and can't control when trying to find order in relation to the events surrounding our lives. I hope you all enjoy this latest episode of Film For Your Thoughts and have Happy Fourth of July.  Sincerely, Andres Benatar Affiliate Reward links: Sign up for cash app and we both get an extra five bucks.  WPLXJLB  https://cash.app/app/WPLXJLB Want to buy crypto?  Check into Coinbase. coinbase.com/join/benata_u?src=ios-link Want more internet freedom on social media, then follow me on minds.com https://www.minds.com/register?referr...?referrer=filmloversparadise Want a better learn and develop skills a college educatio

  • The Walking Dead: Dale Horvath Character Analysis

    01/07/2019 Duration: 11min

Hello Film Lovers,  I hope you all enjoyed my analysis of The Walking Dead's Shane Walsh, who I saw to be a character who despite meeting a tragic end at the end of season 2, had this foreshadowing presence within the progression of the characters over the course of the series that still lingers to this day. I think the same of Dale Horvath, who much like shame met an early end near the end of season two, and who's conception constituted an introspective examination into much of the moral framework that would go into much more morally grey territory. I hope you all enjoy this episode of Films for thought and till next time.  Sincerely,  Andres Affiliate Reward links: Sign up for cash app and we both get an extra five bucks.  WPLXJLB  https://cash.app/app/WPLXJLB Want to buy crypto?  Check into Coinbase. coinbase.com/join/benata_u?src=ios-link Want more internet freedom on social media, then follow me on minds.com https://www.minds.com/register?referr...?referrer=filmloverspar

  • Phantom Thread: The Entanglement of The Puer Aeternus

    26/06/2019 Duration: 14min

Greetings Cinema Lovers. Today, I want to reflect on Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film, Phantom Thread. Of all the romance dramas we get year-round, I think this is one of the most honest in recent years. Much like more deliberately honest, yet strangely bizarre explorations into the complexity of love, Phantom Thread tells the story of Dressmaker in 1950's London and his complicatedly dependent romance with a woman he meets. Aside from having a fantastic and sadly final performance by Daniel Day Lewis, the film fully mixes and depicts the chaotic nature of an artist as he struggles to find that sense of balance he has been missing throughout his life. I hope all listening to this review comment, subscribe, and help support this podcast. Enjoy my ridiculous ranting.  Affiliate Reward links: Sign up for cash app and we both get an extra five bucks.  WPLXJLB  https://cash.app/app/WPLXJLB Want to buy crypto?  Check into Coinbase. coinbase.com/join/benata_u?src=ios-link Want more internet fr

  • The Walking Dead: Shane Walsh Character Analysis

    26/06/2019 Duration: 15min

Greetings Cinema Lovers, Today I want to talk about a character from The Walking Dead, who although isn't mentioned as much as he should be, I think bares a great deal of significance with how the show's main and supporting characters have progressed into the same mental territory he fell under in his only two season presence. Shane Walsh was the closest thing to an antagonist for Rick Grimes in season two. In season one, he was merely a supportive ally with a lot mentally debilitating baggage, which all come from having supposedly lost his best friend in a coma and seeing the apocalypse happen right before him. I don't think The Walking Dead is going downhill, nor do I think it is what it once was. However, I will talk about future episodes. What I want to talk about at this moment, is a character who I think despite not being in the majority of the show's run time, still has a great impact on where it has been going and where it will continue to go as the morally grey nature of  character's such as Ric

  • A Clockwork Orange: How To Love A Psychopathic Protagonist

Greetings Cinema Lovers, I’m Andres Benatar, presenting to you with Film For Your Thoughts. Film Your Thoughts is my way of expressing my absolute love for Cinema. Occasionally, I will do reviews covering books, comics, and even the occasional character analysis. It all depends on the character, and believe me, there are plenty I want to talk about.  Film For Your Thoughts can be checked out on my YouTube channel and podcast of the same name. Also, if you want to help this channel grow, then you can check out my Patreon page. I’m keeping the reward to just a one dollar donation to keep things simple, and hopefully if this channel grows, I can include more rewards over time. If not, I’m just happy talking about the greatest artistic contribution to human civilization ever invented. I love cinema, and I want to share that love as well as the intellectual introspection that I find myself committed to every time I see a film and beyond what it presents. To me, films are not just pictures, they’re doors with

  • Cowboy Bebop: Character Analysis: Vicious: The Devil To Spike's Angel

    20/06/2019 Duration: 15min

Greetings Cinema Lovers, Today, I'd like to do a brief character analysis, and for a fan of anime, I'm sure you are all familiar with Cowboy Bebop. As someone who has come to love this anime with each new viewing, it's hard for me to find flaw within the show. Sure, it doesn't necessarily have plot due to its episodic story structure. But one thing Shinchiro Watanabe's masterpiece has never denied us fans is a setting with very rich and vibrant characters. When it comes to the cast of The Bebop, whether we look at Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, Jet Black, or Radical Edward, there's never a shortage of colorful characters that ooze excitement. However, the character I'm going to talk about today is one I think has been overshadowed and left unanalyzed in so many ways in which his existence speaks about the major theme of the show. The character I'm referring to is none other than Vicious, or a some critics have referred to him as, The Dark Spike. Vicious is a psychotic mob boss who works for the Red Dragon syn
