In this first episode, Donna gives her background of pre-diabetes and five to six years of low carb eating following the pre-diabetes diagnosis, cooking, and baking. She explains how low carb turned her health around—but never helped her achieve the weight loss she was seeking since it was so calorie dense (and she wasn’t doing “keto”). Then she describes her first week of IF (OMAD—One Meal A Day, or 19:5….19 hours of fasting and 5 hours of feasting), including why she started, how a clean fast differed for her than the 16:8 she had been trying to do previously, how hungry she felt and didn’t feel, her first day and eating out without taking her own low carb food to the restaurant, and more.
