The episode centers around how energy data informs decarbonization and the sibling banter is exceptional. The group compares two beers, an IPA from Destination Unknown Beer Company in Long Island, and Windrow, a New York State Corn Lager from Hudson Valley Brewery. They discuss Deirdre's career, including her multiple roles heading up startups that have changed the landscape of the energy industry. Martin is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for climate change mitigation and we were thrilled to get the opportunity to sit down with him face-to-face during Climate Week NYC 2023. The group drinks an American Pale Ale from The Bronx Brewery while discussing Martin's journey into Cleantech, decarbonizing supply chains for large companies, and M2030's collaborative relationship with RENEW. The Green Beer Crew reviews its first nonalcoholic brew while discussing how Benefit Corporations like the Athletic Brewing Company are structured in order to prioritize Environmental Sustainability Goals. This is especially important for methane producing businesses. Charlie and Austin are sold on this particular sustainable and alcohol-free alternative but Mike remains skeptical.
