Many of us may have heard and sung the song, El Shaddai, which translates as "God Almighty. This week we'll be looking at several passages from the book of Genesis where God is described as faithful to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.

In the book of Genesis we read that sin entered in this world with Adam and Eve. Yet in God's infinite power and wisdom, Jesus has redeemed us. Jesus is the second Adam, a spiritual and divine being that saves us from our sins. Join us this Sabbath as we read the Bible and discover God's infinite love for us. The WORD In the first chapter of the gospel of John, the author begins with a short section focused on the WORD, or the Logos. ABBA As we continue our series on the names of God, the term ABBA or Father in the aramaic languages is our next course of study. Both Jesus and Paul refer to God as father, and Paul goes even deeper to say that we are sons and daughters adopted by God. In the book of Exdous, God calls Moses to go back to Egypt to lead God's people out of Egypt and begin the journey to the promised land. When Moses asks God, who sent me, God responded with "I AM". A simple phrase but it carries tremendous power. This week we'll be studying this short but powerful name of God.
