  • 19: Making it Work | Busyness

    16/03/2021 Duration: 31min

In this episode, I talk through a subject that has become a bit of a hot topic for me: busyness. I recently read John Mark Comer's The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and it really rocked my world, to say the least. I talk through three elements of busyness that I've taken a critical eye to in my life that I think might be beneficial for you to look at, too. I'm also brutally honest about the ways in which I've not gotten this down yet.  I hope you're encouraged.  Until next time, stay salty

  • 18: Making it Work | Dating

    09/03/2021 Duration: 30min

In this episode, I talk through what it's been like to date in the midst of a pandemic, in my late twenties, and in the age of the dating app. I offer stories of what's went wrong and what's been right. By the end, I offer some insight on what I'm finding to be beneficial in my singleness. I hope you are encouraged.  Mentioned Links:  John Mark Comer's The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry Till next time,  stay salty

  • 17: Making it Work | Teaching in a Pandemic

    16/02/2021 Duration: 25min

I'm back (for now)! I started 2021 with the intention of building better rhythms in my life and getting this podcast up & going is one of those. In this episode, I reflect on where I've been (a wild year) and how I'm seeing myself & life differently these days. Over the next few weeks, I'll share some stories and moments in which I find myself making it work. This week is about finding new rhythms, especially as I navigate teaching during a pandemic.  Another rhythm I am figuring out is writing again. If you're interested in more daily reflections, you can follow along on the Salt & Branch website.

  • 11: Grief & Goodness

    15/09/2019 Duration: 30min

Grief can be crippling. It can take over your day and distract you from the goodness around you. It's a choice to look for it. I find myself in the midst of this effort. I share my heart on my mom's passing in this episode. I don't think I've got grief or God figured out in the least, but I do know that if I don't [try to] stay close to Him, I'll miss out on the sweetness He's laid out before me.

In this episode, I chat with a new (and very fast) friend, Sammie. We talk a lot about spiritual warfare and the real power this can have in our lives. We talk about how the church should say more about it. But most importantly, we laugh... a lot. We tend to do that when we get together. • 3: A Conversation with Stephanie

    01/10/2018 Duration: 01h05min

In this episode, I sit down with a good friend of mine, Stephanie. We've got an interesting backstory (and current story!) to this friendship--like we met in one state years ago and now live in the same city (basically) in a different state halfway across the country. Did I mention how cool the Lord is? And we hit the ground running. We talk about what it's honestly like to be single and dating today, and to try to do it God's way... which makes things pretty interesting.
