It finished 2-2 but that only told part of the story, as we saw a strong first half by the Reds get thrown out of the windown just before the break. Nuno then made three half-time changes before bringing on Ramon Sosa, and the Paraguayan finished Jota's run and pass to get an equaliser. Finally, Morgan Gibbs-White's second yellow card brought controversy, as both managers were sent off in a game that saw more cards than a branch of Paper Chase, despite not being remotely dirty. It was an opening day draw for the Reds against bogey team Bournemouth, as the visitors scored a late equaliser that was "preventable" according to both Nuno and pretty much every Forest supporter. Chris Wood's opening goal came midway through the first half, but the game had already been overshadowed by a serious ankle injury to Danilo, who needed lengthy treatment behind privacy screens, before being stretchered off.
