ST Vaughn came from a typically southern musical background. He grew up in the church hearing those soulful, joyful songs. Then go to a cook out or family gathering and hear Luther and Marvin Gaye; it’s a beautiful thing to be born and raised where he is from. Another thing about being in the South is the bands.
