Episodes

  • Episode 16 - Better Angels

    10/02/2016 Duration: 45min

We're back with a podcast on episode 3 of Agent Carter's second season, "Better Angels." In this episode, Peggy and company begin to deal with the fallout of the season premiere's explosive cliffhanger. Many significant glances are exchanged. We have Peggy and Jason's amorous glances, of course, but also Peggy and Whitney's appraising glances, as the two women driving the season's plot meet face-to-face for the first time. To defeat this season's villains, the Arena Club, Peggy will have to do more than just thwart the power plays of some rich old white men. She'll also have to understand Whitney Frost, the genius hidden so well in their midst that even the Arena Club doesn't see her. And how could they, really?

  • Episode 15 - Season 2 Premiere

    10/02/2016 Duration: 52min

We cover the two-part season premiere of Agent Carter, "The Lady in the Lake" and "A View in the Dark," in which Peggy goes to L.A. and gets caught up in a murder mystery that seems straight out of a 1940s film noir--and then that's where it really gets interesting.

  • Episode 14 - Jessica Jones

    19/01/2016 Duration: 01h15min

Jill and Alex have a chat about Marvel's Jessica Jones on Netflix and try to keep the conversation focused on the ladies.

  • Episode 13 - Ant-Man

    07/08/2015 Duration: 01h18min

Agent Carter Declassified is back! Even better: Agent Carter is back! Or will be next January! Alex and I discuss all the Agent Carter news since the show was renewed, from the show's upcoming  L.A. location, to Hayley Atwell's recent comments about diversity, to Dub Smash! Then we use Peggy's cameo in Ant-Man to segue into a discussion about that movie, particularly its treatment of Janet van Dyne and Hope van Dyne. Our discussion  lasted more about an hour, but in an ant-sized nutshell: Marvel knows that a lot of people want more lady superheroes. The Ant-Man movie makes that clear. But Marvel still doesn't think that's a good enough reason to make a lady-led superhero film. The Ant-Man movie makes that clear as well. What did you think of Ant-Man? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Episode 12 - Age of Ultron

    06/05/2015 Duration: 01h27min

A big bulk of this super-sized episode of Agent Carter is devoted to chatting about Age of Ultron and the Black Widow problem, but that doesn't stop Jill and Alex from finding Peggy Carter specific avenues of discussion.

  • Episode 11 - Winter Soldier

    10/03/2015 Duration: 01h05min

Peggy Carter may only have a cameo in Winter Solider, but her words resonate throughout the film. Alex and Jill talk that, Steve's struggle to acclimate and Alex's hatred of Iron Man 2 in this very special pre-hiatus episode of Agent Carter Declassified.

  • Episode 10: Valediction

    10/03/2015 Duration: 51min

Jill and Alex talk the first season finale of Agent Carter, and get into all the delicious queer subtext that seems to make Peggy, Steve and Howard big ol' fabulous bisexuals.

  • Episode 9 - SNAFU

    24/02/2015 Duration: 01h38s

Jill and Alex gab about the four regular male cast members in Agent Carter's life and how they perceive her and how she doesn't give two hoots about it or them.

  • Episode 8 - A Sin to Err

    17/02/2015 Duration: 59min

We talk the major queer subtext and sexism as a tool when Peggy's ego and the SSR finally catch up with her in the 6th episode of season 1, "A Sin to Err."

  • Episode 7 - The Iron Ceiling

    10/02/2015 Duration: 46min

Jill Scharr and Alex Cranz talk the fanfic nature of the very satisfying but dramatically flaccid 5th episode of Marvel's Agent Carter.

  • Episode 6 - The Blitzkrieg Button

    09/02/2015 Duration: 54min

Jill Scharr and Alex Cranz talk Episode 4 of Agent Carter. Peggy's torn between loyalties towards friend and country, and we're weighed down by how WHITE the show is.

  • Episode 5 - Time and Tide

    08/02/2015 Duration: 52min

Alex Cranz and Jill Scharr talk episode 3 of Agent Carter. That means sexism in the work place, Peggy's terrible, no good, very bad day and Angie's crush.

  • Episode 4 - Bridge and Tunnel

    08/02/2015 Duration: 54min

Things really heat up in episode 2 of Marvel's Agent Carter as she's forced to take on Captain America's mantle in a purely symbolic way while suffering Jarvis's fussiness, and dodging the affections of Angie Martinelli and the suspicions of the SSR. It's all just another day in Peggy Carter's world. Meanwhile back here at FemPop HQ Jill Scharr and I are hard at work figuring out if Peggy really does fight a guy on top of a moving car while wearing heels, a long skirt and a bullet in the thigh. Peggy Carter is there anything you can't do? Well, I guess bring back your one true love--Captain America. But let's stop pretending we're radio announcers in a 1946 radio drama and get down to brass tacks. In this episode we dive deep to talk about whether or not Peggy's technically a super hero and then we get distracted a few times gabbing about Angie's huge and adorable crush on Peggy. It's a blast.

  • Episode 3 - Now is Not the End

    01/02/2015 Duration: 01h18min

Hosts Alex Cranz and Jill Scharr talk Peggy's hubris and fashion sense in the pilot episode of Marvel's Agent Carter, "Now is Not the End."

  • Episode 2 - Marvel One-Shot

    01/02/2015 Duration: 26min

In Episode 2 of Agent Carter Declassified hosts Jill Scharr and Alex Cranz talk the canoncity of the one-shot and Peggy's unique fighting style.

  • Episode 1 - Captain America: First Avenger

    01/02/2015 Duration: 01h26min

Join Jill Scharr and Alex Cranz as they check out Agent Peggy Carter's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: First Avenger.
