Filmmaker Joslyn Rose Lyons is one of today's rising stars on the independent film scene. In 2002, she founded her own film house, Jog9 productions, and directed, produced, wrote, shot and edited the award-winning feature length documentary film Soundz of Spirit (Common, Andre 3000, The Last Poets, KRS-1, Cee-Lo, Goapele, Talib Kweli – to name a few). The film premiered at the HBO Urban World Film Festival, won Best Music Documentary at the New York International Film Festival, aired as part of a programming slate on Freespeech TV and was released for a limited time on dvd with an original soundtrack. Joslyn began working as a production assistant and coordinator on documentary and television specials for Discovery Channel, MSNBC and PBS, with the Emmy award winning Paradigm Productions while still in college.The young director continued freelancing, becoming a West coast affiliate and segment producer for BET Networks, where she produced and wrote original content for Rap City, Top Ten Countdown and coverage

REEL Ladies is featuring Cinematographer, Lisa Weigand! LA based cinematographer who has photographed award-winning independent features and television. She has been featured several times in American Cinematographer Magazine and has been awarded for "Excellence in Cinematography" by the American Society of Cinematographers. Her films have been distributed in theaters, on television, DVD as well as seen in festivals around the world.Lisa was the main unit DP the 2nd season of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” on FOX, starring Eliza Dushku as well as 2nd Unit Director of Photography on the 7th Season of FOX's "24"!

Filmmaker Heather Ross has directed and produced programs for Discovery Channel, A & E, MTV, FX and Fox including the acclaimed series Intervention. GIRLS ON THE WALL is her first feature. The teenage girls of Warrenville Prison are not your average delinquents. Having "graduated" from juvie to prison, these are the kids most likely to remain in the correctional system their whole lives. They are also some of the sharpest and most irrepressible young women you'll meet. Her budgets have ranged from $200,000 to $10 million. Ms. Lyons’ films have won a gamut of awards and festivals from the prestigious British BAFTA award, a premier at the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, best picture at Shockerfest and acceptance into the Toronto, Berlin and Montreal Film Festivals. Her films have been distributed by Miramax, Screengems and Lionsgate.

Hall's first acting role was in an independent film called Book of Numbers at the age of 38. Hall had been a teacher of languages for almost 20 years in Dallas, Texas when actor/director Raymond St. Jacques saw her performing at a poetry reading. He liked her so much he offered her a role in his film on the spot. Hall discovered a love for acting and soon founded a repertory theatre in Dallas.Hall's personality and age made her a natural to be cast as middle-aged, strong authority figures. She worked steadily in films and TV throughout the 1980s. But it was not until her role as the loving Aunt T. in 1996's A Family Thing when critics and audiences began to take notice of her talents. She won the Chicago Film Critics Association Award and the Kansas City Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress. Holly, President of Cypress Moon Studios, is one of the busiest executives in the entertainment industry. In just four short years, she has established Cypress Moon as a fully operational state-of-the-art film production and recording studio. On the heels of the award-winning film “When I Find the Ocean” and now the about-to-start filming “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” Cypress Moon Studios is fast-tracking multiple projects in development including a “fantastical action adventure trilogy” titled “Sleeping Giant: Union of the Seven.” Holly has worked with CBS, HBO, NBC, FOX, Morgan Creek, Universal, Buena Vista and many other independent production companies.
