REEL Ladies is a Professional Women's Organization & Community in the Film and Entertainment Industry to promote, encourage, motivate, and educate fellow women in the industry. With our numerous programs, we provide and equip filmmakers with the necessary tools to succeed in Hollywood! REEL Ladies provides various platforms where filmmakers gain industry insights from all aspects of filmmaking. From in depth and intimate interviews, workshops, panels, special events, and more to our innovative programs such as Script Club and Producers Corner, we are creating an empowered COMMUNITY of women filmmakers who are connecting with one another and boldly moving forward to pursue their careers in entertainment!

    Filmmaker Joslyn Rose Lyons is one of today's rising stars on the independent film scene. In 2002, she founded her own film house, Jog9 productions, and directed, produced, wrote, shot and edited the award-winning feature length documentary film Soundz of Spirit (Common, Andre 3000, The Last Poets, KRS-1, Cee-Lo, Goapele, Talib Kweli – to name a few). The film premiered at the HBO Urban World Film Festival, won Best Music Documentary at the New York International Film Festival, aired as part of a programming slate on Freespeech TV and was released for a limited time on dvd with an original soundtrack. Joslyn began working as a production assistant and coordinator on documentary and television specials for Discovery Channel, MSNBC and PBS, with the Emmy award winning Paradigm Productions while still in college.The young director continued freelancing, becoming a West coast affiliate and segment producer for BET Networks, where she produced and wrote original content for Rap City, Top Ten Countdown and coverage

Hall had been a teacher of languages for almost 20 years in Dallas, Texas when actor/director Raymond St. Jacques saw her performing at a poetry reading. He liked her so much he offered her a role in his film on the spot. Hall discovered a love for acting and soon founded a repertory theatre in Dallas.Hall's personality and age made her a natural to be cast as middle-aged, strong authority figures.
