The song “Own Code” is an expression of his life’s blueprint. He brings a touch of Caribbean influence and hip hop finesse in his voice and lyrics. Combining his experiences in his hometown St.Vincent and current residency in Toronto, he ultimately creates his very own code. “It's about having a moral compass and being firm in knowing who you are and what you represent,” Txnic says. “The concept is understanding your purpose and how your actions affect other people. As a man, there’s a certain responsibility to lead, protect, and look out for the people around you. I’ve grown to be that guy.”

The song expresses Txnic's feeling of neglect by his peers and others within the industry due to his low-key persona, and longterm vision with perfecting his craft. Dor swoops in with a perfect set up sharing a beat that resembles a 90s freestyle sound with his new school approach to sound selection. This is just the beginning for these two, stay tuned.
