With just over two weeks to go, we can barely contain our excitement for the inaugural Natural Rhythm festival! For our seventh podcast, we proudly introduce Ricky Cox. The man behind the brand Somewhere, launched in December 2002, created a new avenue for the east of England regions clued up clubbers playing a deep electronic house sound. Keeping an underground vibe to these nights has always been important. With Ricky as resident warming up for some of the worlds finest house d.js has taught him how to read a crowd, building the night up without going over the top. Things are really heating up here at camp NR. Just under 4 weeks to go and we continue our podcast series with none other than Le Jockey. Johny Davies aka Le Jockey: Johny has been producing music for a few years now, but has been involved in music since his childhood. He is extremely competent on the violin and percussion and when he was a child was head chorister of Jesus College Chapel Choir. These days Johny mainly focuses on writing electronic music and has had releases on a string of record labels. He has featured in iDJ magazine and on the cover CD of their July issue. His productions have recieved critical acclaim from artists such as Tim Sheridan, Mark-Henning, Luke Solomon, Massimo Licari and Ed Davenport to name a few and receive regular club play across europe. 2009 looks set to be busy for John with dates confirmed already in Bristol, Bournemouth and London throughout the year and releases on Beiak records and Fullbar Digital coming up over the next months. The third mix in our podcast series comes courtesy of David Venn: DJing for over 10 years now, I'm a bit like a funfair but without the pikeys who ask you to hook a duck then steal your bike. Cross Genre Dj specialising in Dance music, mixing it up nationwide for the past decade. Currently holding residencies in my hometown of Cambridge at some of the City's most influential dance music events. I have played all over the UK sharing the decks with the likes of Chase & Status, Rusko, Starkey, Doorly, Shy FX, Redlight, Emalkay, Foamo etc. I also held long term residencies in Sheffield at leading venues The Plug and at Pure Newquay.
