We called up the one and only Chadio, of imaginations treetrunk fame! Had a great conversation, detailing his entry into vancouver's rapscene by the Daily Driveby on local radio, to helping form Imaginations Treetrunk, one of the pillars of vancouver's hiphop scene. We checked in with Canadian coast-to-coast legend, Birdapres, now in Toronto, by way of Vancouver and Winnipeg. This has been one we've been looking forward to for a long time! Bird has an incredible memory for the history of the canadian scenes he's been a part of, and we got the best rundown of Vancouver history from one of the earliest members. Definitely made note to make appointments for more interviews from this point! Few technical difficulties, and as a result, we didn't learn about the infamous Checkin For Ya/Now 12" (one of saskatoon's favourites) but we'll leave that for next time!
