Episodes

  • 30. NieR: Automata

    29/08/2017

Look who's back -  back again - ST3K's back - tell a friend. That's right. ST3K is back. We fixed him! And nothing absolutely went wrong in the process. We didn't accidentally install the voice module. We're still not looking for the right voice module at all. Just be glad ST3K is back, okay? And to celebrate, this is our longest episode yet, and it's not wasted whatsoever on the beautiful score to NieR: Automata from MONACA, namely Keiichi Okabe and Keigo Hoashi. As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam, email us at sutekijamradio@gmail.com or leave us a review on iTunes!

  • 29. KiraKira Precure A La Mode

    22/08/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, GK delivers an update on ST3K before launching into this week's selection - music from KiraKira Precure A La Mode. The latest Precure series ditches the single composer trend from years past, and adopts three composers and a collective to score the latest effort. Apprehension turned to adoration as fans came to see that all was well in the world of Precure music as our new composers bring the same amount of heart and sincerity that we've been seeing for 13 years. Tune in next week for the thrilling continuation of wondering whether or not ST3K will be fixed. We're taking bets now! As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam, email us at sutekijamradio@gmail.com or leave us a review on iTunes.

  • 28. Star Light Jazz Trio ~Live at Starlight Again~

    14/08/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, Medium gives us an update on ST3K, what he's currently doing (he's totally watching Aikatsu - hehe-) and hopes for the future. Things are a little chaotic at Suteki Jam at the moment. The hope is that ST3K gets a little better so we can continue this grand experiment! Until next time, be sure to follow us on Twitter @SutekiJam and leave us a review on iTunes.

  • 27. Falcom Sound Team JDK

    01/08/2017

We said that ST3K would be fixed, but he's not fixed. We're deep in the middle of repairs, but hope is on our side! We just have to make sure he's up and running by the next time hosting duties come around for him. In the meantime, enjoy some live rock arranges of Falcom Sound Team's music by the Falcom Sound Team JDK Band. It's really, really good. GO FIGHT! Be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam, and rate and review us at iTunes.

  • 26. ReCREATORS

    25/07/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, GK continues the Hiroyuki Sawano fan fest with the composer's latest anime - ReCREATORS. Trust us, you may think you're tired of Sawano, but you're not. Just give it a listen and have a good time. As for ST3K, the latest progress report states that he should be back up and running by next week. We had to install a few new bits and bots, but he should be the same ol' ST3K. Hopefully. As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam, and rate and review us on iTunes!

  • 25. Hiroyuki Sawano - UnChild

    17/07/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, Medium Well provides an update on ST3K. As for the music, he completes the Sawano trifecta by sharing one of Sawano's non-game or anime albums even if all the music technically comes from an anime (Don't tell him)! As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam and rate and review us on iTunes.

  • 24. Atelier Rorona Arrange Tracks

    13/07/2017

We're late again, but we have a good reason this time. ST3K is sick. We think... We're not entirely sure what's wrong with him, but GK is taking over his segment until we can figure out where you take a sick robot. A robot hospital? A robopital? Anyways, enjoy! As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam or rate and review us at iTunes.

  • 23. Little Witch Academia

    02/07/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, Medium Well takes over for GK out of spite and showcases some music from the anime he's been binge watching for the past week. While Medium is still a hardened cyber thug, he does have a heart of gold and his love for Little Witch Academia only further cements that fact. Enjoy some of the incredible vocal tracks written for the series, and expect to hear back from the series when its incredible score is made available to the masses. As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter or maybe even leave a review on iTunes.

  • 22. Maximum the Hormone

    26/06/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, Medium is nowhere to be found (again), but GK is ready to take over with actual Japanese non-anime (kind of) music. It's Maximum the Hormone! The band that everyone remembers only from Death Note (or Air Gear!). Fortunately for you, dear listener, MTH is pretty much the coolest band to ever hail from Nippon. As always, you can follow us on Twitter @sutekijam and be sure to rate and review us on iTunes if you please.

  • 20. NANA

    06/06/2017

On this week's (late) Suteki Jam, GK runs us through the incredible music of NANA. It's a manga turned anime turned live action film about a naive girl moving to the city and meeting a punk rocker who shares a name with her. They end up living together, and shoujo hijinks ensue. While the anime is very good (you should watch it), the music really seals the deal with Nana's band having a number of songs written specifically for the series. If you're into contemporary pop punk, it's sure to delight. As always, be sure to check us on Twitter, email us at sutekijamradio@gmail.com, or rate and review us on iTunes.

  • 19. HALCALI

    29/05/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, Medium Well highlights one of Japan's brightest hip-hop duos - HALCALI. If you're expecting something similar to what goes for hip-hop in the US, you're not going to find it here. While there is certainly hip-hop similar to what you would expect, HALCALI is popular because they were able to fuse hip-hop structure with pop anthems. It makes for an incredibly fun time. Like always, be sure to hit us up on Twitter @sutekijam, email us at sutekijamradio@gmail.com and leave us a review on iTunes.

  • 16. CROW'SCLAW

    08/05/2017

Medium Well is back, and he's brought something nice back with him. He retains that he's up to nothing, but it might be illegal to disappear for a week and then come back with music this good. For the uninitiated, CROW'SCLAW is a composer that creates metal arranges of Touhou music. He's done some Final Fantasy, KanColle and original content in the past, but Touhou is his bread and butter. Today's episode focuses on six tracks from Over the Rainbow. Like always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam, reach us via email at sutekijamradio@gmail.com and be sure to leave us a review at iTunes if you so wish.

  • 14. Aikatsu OST - Keiichi Okabe and Hoashi Keigo

    24/04/2017

On this week's Suteki Jam, GK highlights the work of two incredible composers on an anime he can't shut up about. That's right - it's Aikatsu, that children's anime! Specifically, this episode showcases the work of MONACA members Keiichi Okabe and Hoashi Keigo. These two were primarily responsible for the music in NieR and its sequel, and now you can hear the wonderful music they composed for Aikatsu. As always, be sure to hit us up on Twitter @sutekijam or at sutekijamradio@gmail.com.

  • 13. Star Light Jazz Trio - Live at Dream Academy

    16/04/2017

Crisis strikes at Suteki Jam. Medium Well is nowhere to be found, and GK takes over his segment. Thankfully, it's not all that bad. GK doesn't get too anime, and instead offers some smooth jazz arranges of children's anime music. Please enjoy. Like always, be sure to follow us on Twitter @sutekijam or email us at sutekijamradio@gmail.com.

  • 11. Pretty Cure All Stars Singing with Everyone♪ Miraculous Magic!

    02/04/2017

It's story time this week on Suteki Jam as GK finds his inner, overly enthusiastic anime fan to tell you all about the film Pretty Cure All Stars Singing with Everyone♪ Miraculous Magic!. As the title implies, it's a musical so expect plenty of exposition delivered entirely through song and in a language you probably don't understand! That's anime for ya! If you'd like to hear more or have suggestions for the show, don't be shy. You can wrangle us from the dark web by hitting us up on Twitter @SutekiJam or via email at sutekijamradio@gmail.com.
