Cheap Tuesday

Before a little hiatus, we decided to get together one last time in 2015 to try and desperately remember all the movies we saw during the year and talk about them. We cannot remember any of the movies.

To celebrate our 71st episode we head along to the 71st movie in the Hunger Games series.  We talk Nic's home life, a dark alternative to "Flubber", a dark alternative to "Precious", and see our dumbest pitch the sequel yet, "Hungry Potter". 

James who? The Hunger what? Why go see a massive blockbuster when there's this tonally insane chick flick murder comedy starring Kate Winslet as a murderer slash dress designer slash victim of severe trauma. Shit this was weird.

We took Chris took to see the SIXTH Paranormal Activity movie, then we mainly discuss scary men in rain jackets, the plot of Rumpelstiltskin , and Chris pitches the most absurd sequel yet. 

It's Halloween MONTH! Octo-Boo! Anyway we took Brynley Stent to see the new film the master of making fairy tales way too terrifying, Guillermo Del Toro. We discuss the technicalities of filming in a bleeding house, Brynley sits on the fence on all issues, and we take a look into the history of a one of our IMDB user friends. 

Nic and Joseph head BACK to Neverland, AGAIN! For the first time! Gah, we go and see a prequel to Peter Pan with Nirvana-singing pirates and a subplot about the mining industry and a good-guy Captain Hook. (Think happy thoughts)

For some reason we try and brave another Adam Sandler film, this time, the adventure-comedy-nightmare, PIXELS. Featuring a lengthy and probably realistic sequel pitch, multiple bad Adam Sandler impressions, and some deep analysis on the stinkiness of this stinky film.

Yasss Tween! We're back after a short break, and what better way to kick things off than yet another journey into teenage dystopia. We also discuss summer holidays, the "kissdel test", and realistic hunger in modern cinema.

Nic, Joseph and Tom sit in chairs eating food whilst watching Jake Gyllenhaal be in the shape of his life, as well as watching lots of people get punched and/or murdered. We also discuss fedoras, claws, and Joseph vows that he will be as ripped as Jake Gyllenhaal by December. 

We took real life young adult Melanie Bracewell aka @meladoodle along to see the YA adaptation Paper Towns, but mainly we talk about Snow Dogs, peeing in cars with girls and just bloody growing up mate.

Three fantastic friends go to see four fantastic not-friends put screw together a space machine four an hour and then get some powers they never use in a bunker they never leave.

The CTMF (Cheap Tuesday Movie Friends) head to see the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) undertake another mission that shouldn't be possible and yet somehow quite easily is! Feat Tim Batt from The Worst Idea Of All Time Podcast!

Finally, a movie about a school play with all the production values of a school play. We went along to see this new found footage film, why couldn't the footage just stay lost.

Four normal sized men went to see this movie about an Antnormally(!) sized man. Some paid for more it than others. This week we are joined by two members of award winning filmmaking gang Chess Club, as well as Joseph's Ant-Man cup and his Marvel Encyclopedia for fact checking.

Hey ladies! A podcast JUST for you ;-) We talk about this very sexy movie with "target demographic" Rose and Alex, and shoosh if this isn't the most passionate and loud pod yet. Rose stands up a lot, Alex acts as a talking hat, Nic gets dark, Joseph tries his hardest to talk about Ant-Man, get yer kit off and yer headphones on, it's an XXL ep of Cheap Tuesday.

It's 2015, it's officially 18 years after judgment day, so lets go see another Terminator Movie with a new Judgement Day and a new terminator and John Connor is a robot now and there is a new time line and oh who cares.

We take Cheap Tuesday newcomer Brynley to her first movie in the cinema in about a year. She may never ever return. What an absolute shambles of a film(?). This podcast is 45 minutes of three people trying to make sense of it.

We're back, pitches! After a couple of months off, Nic and Joseph triumphantly return to the cinema to see a piece of trash movie about four pieces of trash trying to make a piece of trash movie. What a beautiful time to be alive.

Joseph replaces Nic with James Acaster and John Kearns from the United Kingdom (?) who then proceed to bully Joseph about his movie going etiquette for 37 minutes and never really talk about the movie.

  Much like the Fast and Furious gang, we at Cheap Tuesday are all about globe trotting and adding buff new members to our Family. So we went to Melbourne and took Henry Stone to see Furious 7. This is saddest and most beautiful episode of Cheap Tuesday ever recorded. Also - butts! butts! butts!
