Our first premiere of the week comes from one of the most exciting names in techno right now, Chontane. The German native debut’s on SHDW & Obscure Shape’s Mutual Rytm imprint and we have the please of premiering ‘After Images’ which show’s Chontane flexing a soulful and emotive side to his production, while still holding onto his banging and shuffling repertoire. Chontane has been immersing himself in techno for many years, experimenting with various styles and niches, and evolving his eclectic palette for high energy electronic music. Growing up in Berlin Chontane found himself obsessed with techno’s underground subculture, the young DJ started playing regularly at the early age of nineteen kicking things off with a residency at the Krach nights in Humboldthain and then playing some of the cities most revered clubs, including: Tresor, :// About Blank and OHM.
