On May 3rd, 1980 Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band started a six week run at number one on the US album chart with 'Against The Wind'. By the time he entered the studio to record 'Against The Wind' in 1979, Bob's decade long run of constant recording and touring had finally paid off. In the spring of 1976 he released 'Live Bullet', his first release with The Silver Bullet Band. It reached the top 40 and went five times platinum in the US. He followed with his ninth studio album, his first with The Silver Bullet Band - 'Night Moves', in October of' '76. Thanks to the hit singles "Main Street", "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" and "Night Moves" the album reached #8 on Billboard and sold six million copies in the US. 1978's 'Stranger In Town' was another huge hit, six times platinum, a #4 placing on Billboard and four more hit singles - "Still The Same", "Hollywood Nights", "We've Got Tonight" and "Old Time Rock & Roll". But 'Against The Wind'’s commercial success topped that of all Bob Seger’s previous re
