Excerpt from an oral history interview with Lady Bird Johnson. The interview was conducted by Mike Cox on December 7, 1977. In this interview Lady Bird Johnson talks about how she got started on her project to beautify Town Lake which was later renamed in her honor. She also reminisces about picnicking in the countryside near Austin and explains how it feels to have tourists at the LBJ ranch. (Image PICB 17596)
