Welcome! and Thank you for listening.   Why do bad things happen to good people?  Some say there is always something good that comes out of bad situations, but it can be hard to appreciate them early on.  How does this apply to nutrition?  We would like to think that we are bullet proof with regards to illness if we eat a plant-based diet.  But there are many other factors that can result in illness as well as diet.  We tend to put a lot of extra pressure on ourselves defending our dietary choices.  Afterall, we gave up junk food to be healthy, right? The world is watching our sacrifices. So, if we are not guaranteed perfect health, should we even bother to do all of this cooking and sacrificing?  A study of one is hardly scientific, and we really only have one shot at this life.  The choice is yours, but I would ask one additional question?  Do you believe that fruits, vegetables, and whole grains cause disease? If the answer is no, then perhaps they may still be helping your body to heal from the illness.
