When Adam sinned the serpent, all people and the earth were subject to the curse of sin that brought death. Though sin could not be undone and the permanent consequences dire, God made a promise of new life through the Seed who was later revealed as Jesus Christ. By His death and resurrection Jesus is the Way to forgiveness, eternal life and freedom from the curse of sin for all who believe in Him.
