Then Jesus ascended into heaven, and sent them the Holy Spirit to empower them! The Spirit filled Jesus’ followers with supernatural boldness and wisdom. He gave birth to the church, igniting Jesus’ revolution, creating a spiritual revival in Jerusalem that spread like wildfire to other towns and peoples, and other generations. And it continues today. Even now, in 2017, Jesus’ followers have the Spirit in us, empowering us and giving us boldness to continue Jesus’ revolution.
