Synopsis

Mental Health- I figured this was as good as a time as any to bring this topic to light with the holidays. We all suffer in our own ways. No one is perfect, we all have our inner battles. There are places of darkness and of light. We seek love and acceptance and we strive to be the best version of ourselves. I am very aware this is easier said than done- but when we have "hope" - we have purpose. The focus for this podcast is on Cognitive Behavior Therapy. In a world that is creating an open dialogue and much more honest discussions about our mental health, therapy seems to be a much more common word used in daily conversations then ever before.Short term, long term therapy, conventional, psychology, phsychiatry…you name it….we are talking about it…or at least I want us talking about it- without the stigma.Joining me here in studio this week is Dr. Sanjay Rao, an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Ottawa University and Additional Professor of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University with degrees here in Canada
