Gerry McNamara is a former player and currently an assistant coach at Syracuse University. Gerry's time on the court were legendary. He won a National Championship his freshman year with Carmello Anthony and throughout his time at Syracuse he had some of the most legendary college basketball moments. His Big East Tournament Championship round was legendary!After a short stint playing professionally in the NBA, D-League and overseas Gerry stepped into a GA position for the 2009-2010 season and in his first year helped coach a #1 tournament team. In four of McNamara’s six seasons as an assistant coach, the Orange have invitations to the NCAA Tournament. Twice the team has advanced to the Final four.
