July 14 2021 | Pastor Nathan Elms • God created Lucifer to be a worshipper, but through choice for self, and self-worship, Lucifer chose self over God, and created satan. • Evil is birthed out of serving self. • The way that created beings rebel against God, is to worship self. • Luke 6:45 states that out of our "heart" also called "self" comes evil and wrong motivations. • Sinful humanity, which is all humans, can only be redeemed with the good news of the Gospel. • The Kingdom of Satan, which is the Kingdom of self, is always inviting humans to join the exaltation of self. • The Gospel provides willing humanity a covering of the righteousness of Jesus the Messiah, which saves us from the destruction caused by the worship of self. • The first step of the Gospel is the humbling of self. • The only hope for humanity is to humble self, exalt God, and to prefer and serve others. http://nathanelms.com/ https://youtu.be/esNWkknNi74 https://firstchurchclt.com/
