Informações:

Synopsis

The terms ‘culture’ and particularly ‘safety culture’ are widely used yet misunderstood. Professor Andrew Hopkins critically examines the use of these terms and makes six propositions about culture that informs a clearer approach to understanding and managing culture in organisations. Andrew Hopkins is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the Australian National University in Canberra. He was a consultant to the US Chemical Safety Board in its investigation of the Texas City accident, and for its investigation of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster.
