The Bob & Tom Show favorite Pat Godwin joins us this week. Pat began singing and writing songs as a young man growing up in northeastern Pennsylvania. In his 20’s he was performing in and around Philadelphia where he caught the attention of veteran comedian Todd Glass. Todd found Pat’s songs nice but it was the funny banter between songs that Todd really enjoyed. Enough that he convinced Pat to show up for an open mic at a comedy club to try his hand at stand up. In the crowd that night was the legendary Philly radio God John DeBella. DeBella was so impressed by Pat’s funny songs that he hired him to compose 4 on a daily basis. Taken straight from the headlines these tunes became a staple on the Morning Zoo at WMMR for nearly 7yrs.
