It all began when Comperchio was asked to help organize his clients annual golf outing which supported a local non-profit charity. Working as a supplier for a Fortune 500 company, the golf outing invitations were in no short supply and soon Comperchio was recruited to serve as Co-Chairman on the golf outing committee for the GM Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation local chapter.
