Father explains the distinction between the intrinsic and the extrinsic glory of God and how the ultimate end of the Christian life is to glorify God. Even the soul's salvation and sanctification must be sought for the greater glory of God. What is the difference between the perfection of the wayfarer and the perfection of the blessed in glory? The union of the blessed with God in glory presupposes three distinct elements in the souls of those who enjoy the beatific vision: sanctifying grace, charity and the light of glory.
