With releases on Shaboom, Magnetic, Robsoul, DJ Sneak Classics, and his own Cross Section Records amongst several others, London DJ / producer Chris Simmonds, aka Kidsmart, House Proud People, Smooth & Simmonds, Retro Emotion, Private Funk and Bakers Dozen is one of the long-standing veterans of underground house music and a true House Gangster.  Earning his stripes in the 1980's working for Time Radio in London and running Wax Factory Records, meeting and engineering for the likes of Carl Cox, Colin Dale and Rocky (X-Press 2).  It was a release on Richie Hawtin's Definitive Records that really kick started things however, and led to the birth of Cross Section Records. Chris says his mix for the Gangstercast represents him as an artist because, "I like to take risks, keeps things varied and keep the music tight.
