This episode of The Gangstercast is orchestrated by Deron, who is the Managing Director at Paradise Distribution, and Label Manager for Dirtybird. This is what he had to say... “When I started buying records in 1996, I lived in Portland, OR, and it was primarily breakbeat and progressive house in the stores. While I enjoyed (trying) to match beats, I wasn’t fully passionate about the music I was finding. A buddy from LA came to visit one day and had Doc Martin’s ’Unlock Your Mind’ CD. The very first song was the Cevin Fisher ‘The Way We Used To” acapella, and then DJ Sneak's “Latin Seoul” comes in.
