Dubois, and how each of them sacrificed and suffered politically or socially for speaking out against the church and the state.  Reading from the conclusion of his 2002 book entitled, “An Appeal to the African Church in America: Beware of False Profit$,” Devin appeals to the African church and all oppressed people to not be afraid to speak truth to power and to stand up against the status quo, no matter the consequences.
