  One of the world’s foremost experts on pharmaceutical supply chains in emerging markets, is a senior research fellow at the University of Michigan’s William Davidson Institute and director of the institute’s Health Care Research initiative. He was previously a professor of supply chain management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. Prashant is an advisor and consultant to the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, and the Government of Zambia. Recently, he worked on a project in Tanzania to study suppliers’ incentives for making artemisinin combination therapy (ACT) drugs available and affordable for the treatment of malaria.
