Lo & Behold

This special 3-episode Lo & Behold season chronicles the story of the 1997 Fisheries Reform Act (FRA), a bill that dramatically changed the way North Carolina's coast was fished and regulated. Three years prior to the law, the state’s legislature forced a moratorium on the sale of commercial fishing licenses and creation of new fishery policy. Back then rapid development, overfishing and pollution gravely threatened North Carolina’s coastal habitats and communities. In this episode, we hear just how bad things were.
