Tiebreakers Podcast

005 | Ashley Blaylock, Chicabrava

Ashley Blaylock is the founder of Chicabrava, the first all-girls surf camp in Nicaragua. Chicabrava is also home to Camp Bella, a charitable surf camp and empowerment program for girls who are survivors of human trafficking. Ashley moved to Nicaragua after law school, and found herself putting off her dream of opening an all-girls surf camp in favor of a very lucrative, very unfulfilling real estate career. She talks about the loss that made her realize life is too short not to go for it, and why knowing where you want to go is way more important than knowing exactly how to get there in this episode of Tiebreakers.
